Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 5V/16MHz
Arduino is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple i/o board and a development environment that implements the Processing/Wiring language. Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux).
The Pro Mini is a very compact and highly versatile microprocessor, developed by Sparkfun in collaboration with Arduino. We use the Pro Mini for all of our development projects and much of our lab test equipment, so we have developed a lot of code to drive our actuators in a lot of different ways. Code snippets are available on request and with product purchase.
Note that we recommend using the optional Sparkfun FTDI-USB 5V cable to upload to the Pro Mini.
